The Palindetial Elections

I came across the following graph entitled "The Palin Phenomenon," (http://www.journalism.org/charts/chartland2.php?showtitle=1&showtitle=0&vid=2175) ultimately it shows us Palin's domination of the media coverage since she was selected to be on the GOP ticket on Aug. 29.

Its pretty interesting to see that she beat both presidential candidates to the #1 most talked about issue in the media. Palin's inexperience and "air-head" manners turned these elections into a complete circus, shifting focus from critical issues to the amount of times she mispronounces nuclear.

Iraq, Afghanistan, the financial crisis, North Korea, and OJ finally going to jail for SOMETHING are apparently not as important as Palin's view from her window on a clear Alaskan day!

I feel compelled to remind everyone that we are still at war. If one scrounges through the pages of various media sources IRAQ will suddenly make a guest appearance in a few articles. Has the war ended and no one bothered to inform me?
I am now taking a course about Iraq's modern history and future reconstruction, to my vast surprise the class is dominated by cold empty blue chair and disinterested blank faced students. Are we so tightly embedded in our Hollywood culture that we can't see past masses of convertible BMWs and bigger than life mansions?

Oh but wait, every single person has seen Tina Fey's latest SNL impression of Sarah Palin, therefore, we MUST be an informed nation. Right?
